Before leaving Tokyo, I spent an afternoon with Kyoko Sasaki aka ‘Sugri Hat’, photographing a series of artist portraits for Beau Magazine. I watched as she created her intricate hats, the sunlight moving gently through her studio. It was a quiet, thoughtful moment, and so special to observe her work.
